I am in need of a cello player for a CD project that I will be working on this <br /> year and I was wondering if you might be interested in being in the project. <br /> I'm in the process of applying for NC arts council grants that would fund the production of a CD featuring chamber <br /> music of Hugo Kauder(1888-1972). He's an Austrian-American Jewish composer who's music is influenced by a <br /> combination of Eastern European folk tunes, 17th century counterpoint, Ocheghem, and his own brand of tonality <br /> (loosely comparable to Hinclemith's)...you can check out www.hugokauder.org for more info. Kauder was the focus <br /> of my dissertation at CCM and I'm hoping that the CD in conjunction with some concerts in the area and some <br /> lecture-recital presentations this year will be the next step before writing a biography on Kauder(a kind of extension <br /> from my doctoral document). The first grant application is due at the end of May, so I'm planning to start performing <br /> this fall and recording this fall or winter. <br /> The plan is to have 5 pieces on the CD, one of which involves cello: Trio for Flute, Cello, and Piano(1960).
