Many of these young artists are in <br /> local high schools, some are older. All have cycled through various refugee camps in <br /> Thailand to where they and their families fled from political repression in Myamar <br /> (Burma). The art work in this particular show was generated in an ongoing joint <br /> project by FRANK Gallery, the Carrboro Branch Library and Transplanting <br /> Traditions Farm where many Karens cultivate plots of land.
