I began
with wood pieces and old furniture. 1 stayed busy painting faux finishes in new homes, wall murals
and so many lovely baby nurseries as the years past. In 1999 1 opened Painted Collections, a gift
shop with a connecting art studio. I hand painted gifts for sale and continued to custom paint for
individuals. Those years were with acrylics and as I grew as an artist I added mediums as batik
and watercolor. 1 think I will always be challenged by the wonderful world of watercolor!
I'm a southern girl that loves fried chicken, loves to garden and paint those wonderful flowers!
Color is one of the finest gifts of life. My art soothes my soul.....it has been a special part of my life and
will be,always. Those quiet moments with the brush have gotten me through good times and bad.I am so
thankful for the special joy it brings me and the ability to share with others"
In addition to these well-established artists and others to be added, the curator
intends to jury art by local"sketchers"whose work may best express the energy of
drawings that sometimes is lost in finished paintings.
