She is an extremely caring person and always looking out for ways to benefit others. Her spiritual art is uplifting and brings great joy to those who observe it. Her live art is a tribute to other's accomplishments, while bringing recognition to their art form. If this grant is awarded to her, she will use it to promote musicians while they are performing and show the local venues where they perform. This money will fund a series of hand drawn portraits, watercolors of a diverse group of performers, songwriters, festivals, and the event locations. The created material will be used in various forms. The limits are endless. To give examples, the collective images will be used for exhibits, prints, during interactive events and picture books. Not only, does Barbara create a wide variety within her work, she also brings back memories for those who have retired from their performing lives by creating images about them. The money will be used for the first stage of this process and will be continued throughout many years. The complete project will be completed in stages and will include events with performances, music, lyrics, video, photographs, interviews and her art. Awarding Barbara this money will allow her to bring great joy to the many lives that will be affected by it, whether they are a subject of her art or a viewer of her extraordinary talent. It will also honor many of the great events that happen in our wonderful community to memorialize them for future generations.
