Our work, created a local economic impact estimated at $3,488,830. <br /> Mission: The ArtsCenter exists in order to inspire artistic creativity and to enrich the lives of <br /> people of all ages. <br /> Guiding Values: Sustainability; Excellence; Accountability; and Inclusivity. <br /> Current Programs and Services <br /> ArtSchool. ArtSchool at The ArtsCenter is Orange County's most comprehensive non-profit <br /> resource for continuing education in the arts on a non-degree, community basis. The ArtSchool <br /> now offers more than 500 classes in all artistic disciplines for all experience levels and ages, <br /> awards more than 20 scholarships annually, and offers work-study opportunities. <br /> School, Family &Youth Programs. The ArtsCenter has provided artistically excellent, age- <br /> appropriate and accessible arts experiences to Triangle families for more than 30 years. <br /> Currently, The ArtsCenter offers the School Show Series with over 70 performances in schools <br /> as well as field trip opportunities at The ArtsCenter; curriculum-based art workshops in all four <br /> area Title-I schools through the Artist Residency program; the SuperFun Series of performances <br /> for family audiences;ArtsCamp in the summer, and AfterSchool Arts Immersion during the school <br /> year. In addition, Youth Arts classes offer fine art classes and workshops in acting, musical <br /> theatre, dance, chorus, stage combat, radio drama, acting for the camera, and improv. <br /> Combined, The ArtsCenter's youth programs reach approximately 26,000 children each year. <br /> Theatre. International theatre at its most local, ArtsCenter Stage showcases the work of <br /> emerging and established artists hailing from next door to around the world. ArtsCenter Stage <br /> features new works with a historical perspective, while its second-stage series includes <br /> improvisation and storytelling, musicals and operas, stand-up comedy and film screenings, new <br /> works in development and theatre for younger and older audiences. ArtsCenter Stage is <br /> community-oriented theatre with a commitment to developing new artists and audiences. <br /> Concerts. The ArtsCenter presents aproximateky 60 concerts for adults each year, <br /> representing the spectrum of musical genres by local, emerging, and nationally touring artists <br /> including folk, blues, Celtic, singer-songwriter, roots, and bluegrass. <br /> Gallery. The Nicholson Gallery features the work of local and regional artists on a rotating <br /> basis and highlights the work of more than 100 local and regional artists in 12 exhibitions a <br /> year. The new Emerging Artist series highlights talented local artists who are just starting out <br /> in their careers and features a new artist each month in dedicated gallery space. <br />
