The leaders and members of Orange County <br />community recognize and believe that Mariah Ann McPherson demonstrated commitment and <br />dedication to senior members of the community. McPherson was an outspoken advocate for <br />the needs and rights of all the elderly. Ms. McPherson gave countless hours of community <br />service to improve the quality of life for all of Orange County's older residents. <br />This is a proposal to honor McPherson by considering naming the senior center for central <br />Orange County the "Mariah Ann McPherson Senior Center". <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: None <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board approve the attached <br />resolution to name the new Central Orange Senior Center for Mariah Ann McPherson. <br />
