75 <br /> NORTH CAROLINA <br /> ORANGE COUNTY <br /> A F F I D A V I T <br /> My name is Russell Garrett. I am currently employed by the <br /> Chapel Hill/Carrboro City Schools. I graduated from Chapel Hill <br /> High School in 1974 in the class with Kenny Martin. I know about <br /> the land that his father owned on Ferguson Road in Orange County <br /> starting around 1980. This land was owned by them as part of their <br /> automobile business. In the early 1980 's, a group of us used to <br /> work on cars frequently on this property. Three of us had Dodge <br /> Chargers and we had a club where we had some different colored <br /> cars. I went to this property all the time to work on the cars. <br /> Usually on the weekends we spent one whole day out there and we <br /> often went on week nights. <br /> Body work was done out there all the time. We would do things <br /> like fix dents in a body panel and straighten body parts out. I <br /> remember using a hammer and spending a lot of time hammering on <br /> body parts and also using a grinder or a sander to smooth out body <br /> parts. We also did some painting after we fixed the body parts. <br /> Mechanical work was also done such as rebuilding engines, tearing <br /> cars down and rebuilding transmissions. All we ever did on this <br /> property was work on cars.
