After considerable discussion (see <br /> attached minutes) the Planning Board found that the use <br /> of the property when Bingham Township was zoned in 1981 <br /> was considered to be Motor Vehicle Maintenance and <br /> Repair (body shop) , and that it should retain its <br /> current zoning designation of EC-5. The vote was 6 <br /> in favor and 2 opposed. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: The Administration recommends that the property be <br /> rezoned to RB (Rural Buffer) on the basis that the <br /> property was in use a junkyard when Bingham Township <br /> was initially zoned, and junkyards are not a permitted <br /> use in the EC-5 zoning district. <br />
