This is a requirement placed by , <br /> the State for this project. <br /> Therefore, - Physio-Control of Redmond, Washington submitted the <br /> lowest responsible bid at a cost of $4,487.00 per defibrillator. <br /> The 1995-2000 CIP anticipated the acquisition of this equipment as <br /> part of a multi-year lease purchase. However 1994-95 funds not <br /> expended on a new ambulance are available to purchase the equipment <br /> outright so as to avoid interest expense from a lease purchase. <br /> The unexpended ambulance funds can be restored, if needed, as part <br /> of the 1996-2001 CIP, pending the results of the Quick Response <br /> Vehicle (QRV) pilot program that began August 1. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: The Manager recommends award of the bid to Physio-Control of <br /> Redmond, Washington for a total cost of $44,870.00 for ten ( 10) <br /> First Medic 510 Semi-Automatic Defibrillators. <br />
