CJ <br />ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />A RESOLUTION APPOINTING THE ORANGE COUNTY TAIL COLLECTOR <br />FOR A TWO YEAR TERM BEGINNING JULY 1, 1995 <br />WHEREAS, Mr. John Horner has tendered his resignation as orange County <br />Tax Collector effective June 30, 1995, upon his retirement from more <br />than 30 years of service to orange County and its citizens; and <br />WHEREAS, the Orange County Manager has recommended that Ms. Virginia <br />Rolfe be appointed to succeed Mr. Horner as Orange County Tax Collector <br />effective July 1, 1995, based on her extensive qualifications for that <br />office in terms of education and experience; and <br />WHEREAS, Ms. Rolfe has indicated her strong desire to be appointed to <br />that office as indicated; <br />NOW, THERFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Orange County Board of <br />Commissioners, as provided for under Chapter 105 -349 of the North <br />Carolina General Statutes, does hereby appoint Virginia Rolfe as Orange <br />County Tax Collector, effective July 1, 1995, for a term of two years; <br />and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Ms. Rolfe shall be compensated by an annual <br />salary associated with Grade 75, Step 5A of the orange County Salary <br />Schedule, which salary is currently $49,517* further, that Ms. Rolfe <br />shall be entitled to all other pay and benefits as are made available <br />to other permanent County employees under the provisions of the orange <br />County Personnel ordinance. <br />This, the 5th day of June, 1995. <br />
