This budget amendment provides for the receipt of these funds. (See Attachment 1, <br />column 2) <br />Department on Aging <br />3. The Department on Aging has received additional revenue for the following programs: <br />• Senior Center Instructors — receipt of an additional $27,000 in class enrollment <br />fees to pay for Senior Center instructors and related class expenses. <br />• Health Promotion Activities — receipt of an additional $3,162 from the N.C. <br />Division of Aging and Adult Services for evidence -based health promotion <br />activities. <br />• State Senior Center General Purpose funds — receipt of an additional $7,786 <br />from the N.0 Division of Aging and Adult Services General Purpose funding to be <br />used to cover temporary personnel costs and program supplies. <br />• Sportsplex funds — receipt of $4,000 from the Sportsplex for after -hours use and <br />staffing costs of the Central Orange Senior Center classrooms. <br />• Senior Lunch Program — receipt of additional $455 from the Town of Carrboro in <br />support of the department's Senior Lunch Program. <br />• Family Caregiver Support Program — receipt of an additional $21,516 from the <br />National Family Caregiver Support Program for caregiver services. <br />This budget amendment provides for the receipt of these revenues (See Attachment <br />1, column 3). <br />4. Based on current year and historical collections, the Department on Aging anticipates <br />receiving additional revenue of $24,000 in wellness class fees, which will pay wellness <br />instructors and class expenses related to the Senior Citizen Health Promotion Wellness <br />Program.
