EXHIBIT"A" Scope of Services—FY 2014- 15 Outside Agency Performance Agreement Agency Name: Chapel Hill-Carrboro Human Rights Center Program Name: English As Second Language(Esl)Program Funding Award: $1,000 Outline how the agency will spend Orange County's funding award. Expense Description Amount Stipend for the ESL Program Coordinator* $1,000 ESL Program Coordinator recruits,trains, supervises ESL program volunteers,develop curriculum, do general program outreach as well as related administrative tasks for the ESL Program for the full academic year Program Services For assistance with this or the following section, please reference the Exhibit A instructions and example, located within the contract and reporting memorandum. Outline the major activities the agency will employ to attain the Anticipated Outcomes below,by June 30,2015. • English as Second Language Program: Develop personalized lessons for ESL students of all levels(i.e. beginner, intermediate, advanced levels) and provide one-on-one tutor: student ratio to achieve maximum English language improvement for the participants • End of year ESL Program Celebration: Reflect, share and celebrate the success of the ESL participants with rest of the broader immigrant community Anticipated Outcomes The Anticipated Results column must include quantifiable results in the form of number of persons/units served within Orange County, only (all Towns and municipalities). If you use percentages, you must also provide the total number of participants within that measure's description or for an earlier performance measure.
