Website Design Presentation <br />6 Carla Banks reviewed the following PowerPoint slides. <br />7 <br />8 WEB SITE REDESIGN <br />9 Presented By: <br />10 Public Affairs & Information Technologies <br />11 <br />12 Introduction <br />13 In May of 2014, the contract with Revize was approved and the first of three payments was <br />14 submitted to get the design process underway. Also, a Web site Design Committee was <br />15 assembled to guide the design efforts. <br />16 The committee is made up of representatives from the following County departments: <br />17 Library <br />18 • Aging <br />19 • Animal Services <br />20 Health Department <br />21 Clerk's Office <br />22 Economic Development <br />23 Environment, Agriculture, Parks & Recreation <br />24 Information Technologies <br />25 Public Affairs <br />26 <br />27 Project Action Items <br />28 In August, the Design Committee received the second of three initial design concepts <br />29 In September, the Web Masters were consulted for input on the current design concept <br />30 (version 2 of 3) and their feedback was solicited in a survey. <br />31 <br />32 The Web Masters shared the design concept with their respective department heads for <br />33 additional feedback to aid in completing the survey <br />34 Two Public Focus Groups were held in mid - September to solicit input from residents <br />35 regarding the design <br />36 <br />37 Survey <br />38 The County's new Web site design concept was presented to two public facing focus groups. <br />39 It was also offered to all Orange County departments (Department Directors & Web Masters) in <br />40 the form of a survey. <br />41 <br />42 The focus groups and County departments were asked five questions specific to the design <br />43 concept. They were also given the opportunity to provide the design team with additional <br />44 feedback and suggestions. <br />45 <br />46 Design Concept (visual) <br />47 <br />48 Next Steps <br />49 Seek feedback from the Board regarding the design concept and whether staff is moving in the <br />50 right direction <br />
