Ordinance Amending UDO <br />PURPOSE: To receive the Planning Board recommendation, close the public hearing, and <br />make a decision a Planning Director initiated text amendment to the Unified Development <br />Ordinance (UDO) requiring a Neighborhood Information Meeting (NIM) for all Special Use <br />Permit (SUP) applications. <br />As a reminder, the reconvening of this hearing is solely to receive the Planning Board <br />recommendation and any additional written evidence submitted since the September 8, 2014 <br />Quarterly Public Hearing. This hearing is not intended to solicit additional input from the public. <br />While the BOCC may ask staff questions related to the review of a given item, comments from <br />the public shall not be solicited. <br />BACKGROUND: This item was presented at the September 8, 2014 Quarterly Public Hearing. <br />The amendment would require a NIM be held 45 days prior to a public hearing where a SUP <br />was scheduled for review. The applicant would be required to mail notices 14 days, and post a <br />sign on the property 10 days, prior to the NIM meeting. <br />
