These recommendations included hiring an intern <br /> to research the feasibility of developing an automated <br /> Information & Referral System and contracting with the UNC School <br /> of Social Work Foundation to provide consultation services for <br /> the Youth and Family Services Coordination Function. <br /> At the May 16, 1995 the Board received a report from Loretta <br /> Harper, the Management Intern, regarding the establishment of an <br /> automated Information & Referral System. <br /> Dr. Philip Cooke, from the UNC School of Social Work, will <br /> present an interim report tonight on the "Green Bananas" Project. <br /> The contract for this project provided for selected School <br /> faculty and staff to engage key family and children services <br /> stakeholders of Orange County in a process of consensus-building <br /> and decision-making concerning an appropriate community-empowered <br /> definition of, structure for, and agreed-upon protocol for <br /> collaboration. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S) : The Manager recommends that the Board receive <br /> the report as information. <br />
