Hinkley <br /> responded that there is a wet weather stream. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. <br /> AGENDA ITEM #9: MATTERS SCHEDULED FOR PUBLIC HEARING (5/31/95) <br /> Mary Willis reviewed the following items scheduled <br /> for public hearing on May 31, 1995: <br /> 1. Z-4-95 Donald Keith Godwin <br /> The first item which will be considered is a <br /> proposed rezoning within the Carrboro Joint <br /> Development Area of the Joint Planning Area Land Use <br /> Plan. This rezoning requires approval of both Orange <br /> County Board of Commissioners and the Carrboro <br /> Board of Aldermen. The Carrboro Board of Aldermen <br /> will be present for this item at the public hearing. <br /> The property is located within Transition I Area of <br /> the Joint Planning Area Land Use Plan. The <br /> applicant proposes to rezone approximately 13.5 <br /> acres from Carrboro R-R, Rural Residential, which <br /> allows a maximum density of one dwelling unit per <br /> acre, to Carrboro R-20, which allows a maximum <br /> density of 2. 1 dwelling units per acre. <br /> 2. Z-1-95 James Travis Rives <br /> The applicant proposes to rezone approximately 2.75 <br /> acres of an 18.7 acre parcel in the vicinity of <br /> White Cross from Agricultural Residential (AR) to <br /> Agricultural Services (AS) . <br /> The proposed zoning lots front on White Cross Road, <br /> and measure 200 , wide by 600' deep. It is located in <br /> the central portion of an 18.7 acre lot which is <br /> currently zoned Agricultural Residential. The <br /> portion of the property proposed to be rezoned is <br /> currently used for raising plants for a landscape <br /> business, and is considered a bona fide farm use <br /> which is exempt from zoning regulations. The <br /> rezoning is being requested to allow the applicant <br /> to also sell mulch, topsoil and other products and <br /> shrubs which are not produced on the property. <br /> 3.
