NORTH CAROLINA CONSERVATION AGREEMENT <br />FOR <br />ORANGE COUNTY VOLUNTARY AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT PROGRAM <br />Orange County and the undersigned real property owners Noah Ranells and Ben <br />Bergmann, herein after "Owner ", enter into this Conservation Agreement for a Voluntary <br />Agricultural District covering the property identified by the parcel identification number of <br />the property. PIN 9827809816 shown on the attached maps labeled Exhibit A and <br />Exhibit B. <br />The parties understand and agree that this Agreement is being entered into to <br />protect farmland, horticultural land and /or forestland in Orange County as contemplated <br />by North Carolina General Statutes Article 61 Chapter 106, and the Orange County <br />Code of Ordinances Chapter 48, the "Voluntary Farmland Protection Ordinance, <br />adopted on April 1, 1992 and last amended on June 4, 2013 (hereinafter the <br />"Ordinance "), and to permit such property to qualify for the benefits granted by these <br />laws and ordinances. <br />Owner acknowledges that Owner has the read the laws and the Ordinance. <br />Owner further acknowledges and agrees to prohibit non -farm use of Owner's property <br />subject to this Agreement except as permitted by the above mentioned laws and the <br />Ordinance during the term of this agreement. <br />This Agreement shall extend for a period of ten (10) years from the date of its <br />execution and is automatically renewed if not terminated for an additional ten (10) <br />years. The Agreement may be revoked by Owner at any time, with thirty (30) days <br />written notice to the Agricultural Preservation Board, or its designee, or the Orange <br />County Clerk. Orange County may revoke this Agreement if the Owner is noncompliant <br />with this Agreement or the applicable laws and ordinances. <br />[The rest of this page was left blank intentionally.
