ELITMMNATING OPPRESSION <br />Actively seek and promote equal opportunities in all government/government- <br />sponsored services for historically oppressed groups while working to eliminate <br />discrimination against those groups through policies, regulations, programs and <br />funding. <br />DISCRIMINATION <br />Promote policies, programs and regulations that reduce <br />discrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, <br />sexual orientation, gender identity, age, religion and <br />disability. <br />• Seek legislative authority to enforce employment discrimination laws in <br />Orange County by drafting legislation and actively seeking a legislative <br />sponsor for a statewide employment discrimination law. <br />® Expand Orange County's Civil Rights Ordinance to include protection against <br />discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity. <br />e Conduct a pay equity study to determine if Orange County provides equal pay <br />for equal work considering education, experience and job responsibility.
