RES-2014-063 <br /> ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> A RESOLUTION FOR INCORPORATING GENDER NEUTRAL <br /> LANGUAGE THAT SUPPORTS THE POLICIES, GOALS AND <br /> OBJECTIVES OF ORANGE COUNTY <br /> WHEREAS, the language used in all County documents should support the policies, <br /> goals and objectives of the County; and <br /> WHEREAS, currently the County has some existing practices, but these practices <br /> should be made into policies so that they can be consistently followed; and <br /> WHEREAS, in the future, as appropriate, the County could develop other policies for <br /> the language used in County documents; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br /> COMMISSIONERS OF ORANGE COUNTY: <br /> That Orange County will adopt the following policy, and that all County departments will <br /> be informed that the policy is in place: <br /> GENDER NEUTRAL LANGUAGE: <br /> All County-generated documents will use gender neutral language. As new documents <br /> are created or existing documents are renewed or revised, these documents will be <br /> checked for compliance with this policy.
