The <br />Maple View Milk Company, started by the Nutters in 1996, was one of the first contemporary <br />farm-to-consumer milk bottling businesses in North Carolina. Maple View Ice Cream has <br />received national recognition. <br />The Nutter family has played an active role in improving the quality of life in Orange County as a <br />pioneer for land conservation and through strong support for public education. <br />Bob Nutter was recently honored by the Orange-Durham Cattlemen's Association with its <br />Lifetime Achievement Award for his work in the North Carolina cattle industry. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: None <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board approve the attached <br />resolution recognizing Bob Nutter for outstanding service to the agricultural community and the <br />people of Orange County.
