ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA <br />BOCC Transfer Station Siting Work Session <br />January 29, 2008 <br />Dinner/Meeting- 5:30 p.m. <br />Southern Human Services Center <br />Chapel Hill, NC <br />PURPOSE: <br />The purpose of the meeting will be to continue discussion of the transfer station siting <br />process presented at the January 16'hSpecial Meeting of the BOCC. The proposed <br />project schedule will be presented for the purpose of discussing BOCC meeting dates and <br />public information format including web site. The size requirement for the site will also <br />be discussed. <br />AGENDA: <br />1) Receive Comments and Questions Regarding the Proposed Transfer <br />Station Siting Process <br />2) Present Revised Project Schedule and Process Flow Chart <br />3) Review Tentative Meeting Schedule and Key Milestone Decisions <br />4) Discuss Expanded Site Use and Size Requirements <br />5) Set Next Meeting Date and Tentative Agenda <br />OBJECTIVE: <br />1) Obtain BOCC approval of the siting process <br />2) Receive input and comments from the Commissioners on the project <br />schedule and public information format <br />3) Discuss future site use and resultant size impacts <br />4) Confirm next meeting date and set tentative agenda <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />Exhibit 1 - Revised Transfer Station Siting Process - Flow Chart <br />Exhibit 2 - Revised Transfer Station Siting Schedule
