Blank <br />26 <br />Eddie Kirk <br />From: Grant Gale <br />Sent: Wednesday, June 06, 2007 8:19 AM <br />To: Eddie Kirk <br />Subject: BLUFFS AT MOOREFIELD--clarification at request of designer <br />TO: Eddie Kirk, Planner II <br />FROM: Grant Gale, Solid Waste Enforcement Supervisor <br />ON BEHALF OF: Gayle Wilson, Solid Waste Director <br />DATE: April 27, 2007 <br />SUBJECT: PROJECT The Bluffs at Moorefield <br />The Solid Waste Department Staff have reviewed the plans and have the following comments: <br />Conditional Approval <br />The Solid Waste Department Staff reviewed the most recent set. of plans received and conditionally approve the plans <br />based on the following comments ALL REMAINING ISSUES MAY BE ADDRESSED DURING FINAL PLAN REVIEW: <br />Need Solid Waste Management Plan: <br />We recommend that a Solid Waste Management Plan Sections 1 and 2 be developed for the LANDCLEARING <br />PORTIONS of this project. Specifically, this plan should address how landclearing debris will be managed. We <br />recommend that this plan be initiated as soon as possible so that the collection of ~ecyclables can be considered as the <br />site plan is being developed. We recommend the applicant contact Solid Waste Staff at 968-2800 x163 for assistance in <br />developing the Solid Waste Management Plan if necessary. . <br />Pre-construction Meeting Stipulation: <br />We recommend that the applicant be stipulated as a condition of permit issuance to hold the pre-demolition and pre- <br />construction conferences with Orange County Solid Waste staff. <br />Curbside Recycling: <br />If roads are public streets, constructed to DOT standards, Orange Community Recycling intends fo provide regular <br />curbside recycling services to all single=family-type residences in this proposed development at such time it is included in <br />the Orange County recycling program collection service area. Until such time when curbside recycling services are <br />available to this development, residents may deliver recyclables to a drop off site located at any Solid Waste Convenience <br />Center. <br />LCID: <br />We recommend the applicant provide the name(s) of the permitted waste disposal facilit(ies) to which any landclearing or <br />demolition waste will be delivered. This information should be supplied, as soon as determined and prior to start of work, <br />in a letter to the Solid Waste Department or at the pre-construction conference. <br />NOTES TO BE PLACED ON RESOLUTION OF APPROVAL: <br />Construction Waste: <br />1. By Orange County Ordinance, clean wood waste, scrap metal and corrugated cardboard, all present in <br />construction waste; must be recycled. <br />2. By Orange County Ordinance, all haulers of construction waste must be properly licensed. <br />3. Prior to any demolition or construction activity on the site the applicant will hold apre-demolition/pre-construction <br />conference with the County's Solid Waste staff.
