Blank 26 Eddie Kirk From: Grant Gale Sent: Wednesday, June 06, 2007 8:19 AM To: Eddie Kirk Subject: BLUFFS AT MOOREFIELD--clarification at request of designer TO: Eddie Kirk, Planner II FROM: Grant Gale, Solid Waste Enforcement Supervisor ON BEHALF OF: Gayle Wilson, Solid Waste Director DATE: April 27, 2007 SUBJECT: PROJECT The Bluffs at Moorefield The Solid Waste Department Staff have reviewed the plans and have the following comments: Conditional Approval The Solid Waste Department Staff reviewed the most recent set. of plans received and conditionally approve the plans based on the following comments ALL REMAINING ISSUES MAY BE ADDRESSED DURING FINAL PLAN REVIEW: Need Solid Waste Management Plan: We recommend that a Solid Waste Management Plan Sections 1 and 2 be developed for the LANDCLEARING PORTIONS of this project. Specifically, this plan should address how landclearing debris will be managed. We recommend that this plan be initiated as soon as possible so that the collection of ~ecyclables can be considered as the site plan is being developed. We recommend the applicant contact Solid Waste Staff at 968-2800 x163 for assistance in developing the Solid Waste Management Plan if necessary. . Pre-construction Meeting Stipulation: We recommend that the applicant be stipulated as a condition of permit issuance to hold the pre-demolition and pre- construction conferences with Orange County Solid Waste staff. Curbside Recycling: If roads are public streets, constructed to DOT standards, Orange Community Recycling intends fo provide regular curbside recycling services to all single=family-type residences in this proposed development at such time it is included in the Orange County recycling program collection service area. Until such time when curbside recycling services are available to this development, residents may deliver recyclables to a drop off site located at any Solid Waste Convenience Center. LCID: We recommend the applicant provide the name(s) of the permitted waste disposal facilit(ies) to which any landclearing or demolition waste will be delivered. This information should be supplied, as soon as determined and prior to start of work, in a letter to the Solid Waste Department or at the pre-construction conference. NOTES TO BE PLACED ON RESOLUTION OF APPROVAL: Construction Waste: 1. By Orange County Ordinance, clean wood waste, scrap metal and corrugated cardboard, all present in construction waste; must be recycled. 2. By Orange County Ordinance, all haulers of construction waste must be properly licensed. 3. Prior to any demolition or construction activity on the site the applicant will hold apre-demolition/pre-construction conference with the County's Solid Waste staff.
