Page 6 of 6 <br />27 <br />3. Recycling After Occupancy <br />Depending on the eventual use of the structure, different waste materials will be produced and available for <br />recycling. Recyclable materials must be separated into categories based on collection methods. <br />_ANNING REQUIREMENTS: <br />• Indicate location of all bulk waste containers for refuse and recycling. Plan must show location of all <br />containers, even if using existing refuselrecycling enclosures. Standard details /notes for any of the <br />following are available from Orange County Solid Waste Management (919 - 968 -2788 x107 or x109). <br />• All refuse /recycling containers are required to be on concrete pads. <br />• Provide a detailed and scaled plan of all bulk waste containers areas that show: each container labeled, <br />required screening, lighting, overhead clearances, bollards, and concrete pad. <br />• Indicate whether refuse /recycling area will be gated. Any doors /gates will need retainers to be latched <br />open for refuse /recycling collection. <br />• Ensure adequate collection vehicle access to all containers for deposit and collection. Access templates <br />are available from Orange County Solid Waste Management. <br />• Sharing of exterior recycling locations is acceptable if a joint access /shared -use agreement is filed and <br />the deeds of all properties amended. <br />Site Plan includes space for cardboard recycling container on Sheet # <br />Corrugated Cardboard will be handled in an alternate manner.
