13 <br />Attachment 2 <br />RES- 2014 -064 <br />WHEREAS, any policy decisions regarding local investments and arrangements needed <br />to use Jordan Lake as a drinking water supply source will be made by the elected officials <br />of each jurisdiction or Board of Directors for their constituent water supply authorities. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of <br />Orange County, North Carolina, supports the efforts of the Partnership to work <br />collaboratively on regional water supply planning related to Jordan Lake and other water <br />supply sources in the region, with the goal of defining and securing these sources' roles <br />in ensuring a long —term, sustainable water supply for the Research Triangle Region; and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Orange <br />County, North Carolina, supports the Triangle Regional Water Supply Plan developed by <br />Jordan Lake Partnership which outlines a regional strategy to ensure adequate, <br />sustainable and reliable supplies of water for the future. <br />ADOPTED this the 21st day of October, 2014, in Orange County, North Carolina. <br />(Signature of Chair of the Board) <br />Date <br />SEAL <br />
