Goals and Obiectives of Oranae County <br />DEPARTMENT: County Commissioners <br />ATTACHMENT(S): <br />Draft Resolution <br />PUBLIC HEARING: (Y /N) No <br />INFORMATION CONTACT: <br />Clerk's Office, 245- 2130 <br />1 <br />PURPOSE: To consider approving a Resolution for Incorporating Gender Neutral Language <br />that Supports the Policies, Goals and Objectives of Orange County <br />BACKGROUND: At the September 16, 2014 regular Board meeting, Commissioner Alice <br />Gordon petitioned the Board to consider incorporating gender neutral language into County <br />documents. The resolution indicates that language used in all county - generated documents <br />should support the policies, goals and objectives of the County. Currently the County has some <br />existing practices, but these practices should be made into policies so that they can be <br />consistently followed. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: NONE <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board adopt and authorize the <br />Chair to sign the resolution. <br />
