The <br />Amendment form contains details regarding the timeframe for the adoption process. The form <br />also outlines the rationale, process, and implications of the development and adoption of the <br />Safe Routes to School (SRTS) Strategic Action Plan. <br />The Draft SRTS Plan was reviewed by the North Carolina Department of Transportation <br />(NCDOT) Bicycle and Pedestrian Division, and a final draft was completed and returned to the <br />Planning Staff in December 2012. <br />The three schools chosen for the SRTS Action Plan are part of the Orange County Schools <br />system, and all are located inside or adjacent to the Town of Hillsborough: <br />• Grady A. Brown Elementary School <br />• Cameron Park Elementary School <br />• C.W. Stanford Middle School <br />An overview of the SRTS program purpose, considerations for chosen school sites, <br />recommended projects, and information on project funding can be found in Attachment 2. <br />Staff's pre- adoption activities on the Draft SRTS Strategic Action Plan can be found in Section <br />C.1 of Attachment 1. <br />
