Based on <br />statistics presented by the county this is a sector of the (7range Gounty <br />economy that is underserved. In accordance with the Comprehensive Plan <br />and the EDD section of the Orange Gounty ordinance these proposed uses <br />are in concert with those expected and desired within the EDD. The <br />Buckhorn EDD is.appraximately 900 acres of which Buckhorn Village will <br />use approximately '12%, providing the infrastructure and road <br />improvements necessary 'For other economic development uses in the <br />future. Retail deve!oprrlent is the mast efficient sector to shaulder the <br />burden of the up-front casts associated with utility infrastructure and road <br />improvements needed to support the other~uses without using al! available <br />land within the EDD. <br />14.
