'1 <br />PLibI1C: <br />(\, <br />Question #32 James Carnahan - global warming/carbon footprint? <br />In regards to .questions about global warming and carbon footprints we offer the <br />following: Currently the Orange County Zoning and Subdivision Ordinances do not <br />require the determination of carbon footprints. In addition, acceptable standards that <br />would accompany such a "design criteria" have not been determined or generally agreed <br />upon. Therefore we believe that the Buckhorn Village application is submitted and <br />complete in accordance with the Orange County requirements. <br />Question #33 Joe Phelps -How does Buckhorn Village affect Waterstone? <br />Buckhorn Village is slated to be a destination retaiUentertairunent development. The <br />proximity of Waterstone will not allow the medium to large anchor tenants to duplicate <br />themselves in both locations. Waterstone contains a large single-family component with <br />more urbanized development planned. <br />Question #34 Joe Phelps -Open House? <br />The Buckhorn Development Team has conducted several open public meetings with the <br />surrounding communities, local chambers of commerce, and the Orange County Public '~ \__ <br />Hearing. The team. welcomes any invitation to present the plan at open forums. We will <br />also make available the submittal application information at their planners/engineers <br />office in Hillsborough, Summit Consulting 919=732-3883. <br />Question #35 Renee Price -Residential units 200 MF not SF? <br />The proposed land use plan includes a maximum of 200 multi-family units. These units <br />are proposed in District II or District III. The traffic generation conversion chart allows <br />the increase or decrease of these units with an equivalent factored decrease or increase of <br />retail square footage. <br /> <br />9 <br />
