Gordon Battle Courtroom in Hillsborough, N.C. <br />12 <br />13 COUNTY COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Chair Barry Jacobs and Commissioners Moses <br />14 Carey, Jr., Valerie Foushee, Alice M. Gordon, and Mike Nelson <br />15 COUNTY COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: <br />16 COUNTY ATTORNEY PRESENT: Geof Gledhill and Brian Ferrell <br />17 - COUNTY STAFF PRESENT: County Manager Laura Blackmon and Clerk to the Board <br />18 Donna S. OPENING REMARKS FROM THE CHAIR <br />26 Chair Jacobs encouraged everyone that is going to speak to not repeat what has already <br />27 been said at the previous public hearing. <br />zs <br />29 <br />30 . B. PUBLIC CHARGE <br />31 The Chair dispensed with the reading of the public charge. <br />32 <br />33 C. PUBLIC HEARING ITEMS <br />34 The Clerk to the Board swore in the public citizens scheduled to speak. <br />35 <br />36 1. Buckhorn Village Planned Development: Request by Buckhorn Road <br />37 Associates to rezone approximately 130 acres along Buckhorn Road from I-85/Buckhorn <br />38 Road Economic Development District (EDD) to Buckhorn Village Planned Development <br />39 EDD. <br />40 <br />41 Craig Benedict: I have been sworn. This item, as has been stated, is the reconvening of the <br />42 February 25; 2008 public hearing, which was reconvened to tonight, a date certain, and it <br />43 involves the Buckhorn Village Planned Development, which is a rezoning from the I- <br />44 85/Buckhorn EDD to the Buckhorn Village Planned Development. This involves both a rezoning <br />45 and a special use permit. At the previous meeting, the applicant provided information <br />46 concerning their. application and staff went through the criteria for both the rezoning and the <br />47 special use permit and stated which parts of the application met the criteria. Also, at the last <br />48 meeting, there were questions and comments from the public, and the majority of that public <br />49 hearing took that information and staff made notes of it as well as the applicant. The applicant <br />50 will be •responding in writing tonight concerning same of those comments. Tonight's meeting, <br />51 the intent primarily is to be able to have time to hear from both the Planning Board and the <br />~~ <br />
