I have worked as a geriatric social worker and am a long time <br />believer in the connection of maintaining physical and mental activities as well as connection to <br />the larger community to help people age with integrity and dignity. Recently retiring as a high <br />school teacher, I clearly see the importance of maintaining ties to a larger community to lessen <br />the isolation created with retirement.
