ORANGE COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />ACTION AGENDA ITEM ABSTRACT <br />Meeting Date: June 24, 2008 <br />Action Agenda <br />Item No. G(- - X <br />SUBJECT: Dedication of Sewer Utilities to OWASA-Morris Grove Elementary School <br />DEPARTMENT: Purchasing PUBLIC HEARING: (Y/N) No <br />ATTACHMENT(S): INFORMATION CONTACT: <br />OWASA Utilities Dedication Form Pam Jones, 919-245-2652 <br />PURPOSE: To consider approving a dedication of water and sewer lines built to service Morris <br />Grove Elementary School (Elementary #10) to the Orange Water and Sewer Authority <br />("OWASA"). <br />BACKGROUND: OWASA is requesting this dedication in order to properly service the water <br />and sewer utilities installed to serve Morris Grove Elementary School (Elementary #10). The <br />County Attorney is working with Corley Redfoot Zack's engineer to finalize a plat of "as built" <br />lines and expects to complete the work within the Board's summer break. The recordation and <br />dedication to OWASA are critical to complete the regulatory requirements needed for the <br />opening of Morris Grove Elementary School in August 2008. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: None. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board approve the dedication of <br />these utilities to OWASA as presented, and upon final review by the County Attorney, authorize <br />the Chair to sign on behalf of the Board. <br />
