The resolution contained the following elements: <br /> 1. Endorsed the process described in the "Summary of Consensus Proposal" including: <br /> • Creation of an 8-member Steering Committee, made up of two elected officials from each of <br /> the four governing boards in Orange County,to oversee the process proposed in the"Shaping <br /> Orange County's Future Report". <br /> • Appointment of a large citizen's Task Force, comprised of representatives from a variety of <br /> perspectives. Names would be compiled by the Steering Committee and referred to the four <br /> elected boards for appointment. <br /> • Completion of the 15 steps, including reports to the four elected boards, as outlined in the <br /> "Shaping Orange County's Future Report". Adjustments to the process would be made as <br /> deemed necessary by either the Task Force or Steering committee, depending on work <br /> progress. <br /> 2. Endorsed the creation of the Steering Committee and expressed its intent to appoint two members <br /> to serve. <br />
