The Board of Commissioners reviews <br /> proposals to be considered at public hearing for <br /> consistency with general County policy and presentation <br /> format. <br /> Three rezonings within Orange County's planning <br /> jurisdiction are proposed. In addition, there is a <br /> proposed rezoning within the Carrboro Joint Development <br /> Area as identified on the Joint Planning Area Land Use <br /> Plan, which will be heard by both the Orange County Board <br /> of Commissioners and the Carrboro Board of Aldermen. <br /> One Zoning Ordinance amendment is proposed. The amendment <br /> was initiated by the County Attorney and clarifies which <br /> parties bear the burden of proof in the consideration of <br /> Special Use Permits. <br /> Items to be considered at the May 31, 1995 public hearing <br /> include the following: <br /> CARRBORO ZONING MAP <br /> 1. Z-4-95 Donald Keith Godwin <br /> The applicant proposes to rezone approximately 13.5 <br /> acres from Carrboro R-R, Rural Residential, which <br /> allows a maximum density of one dwelling unit per <br /> acre, to Carrboro R-20, which allows a maximum density <br /> of 2. 1 dwelling units per acre„ The property is <br /> located within Transition I Area of the Joint Planning <br /> Area Land Use Plan. <br />
