-~~ Minutes of the Boerd of Coruni ssianers <br /> Friday, November 23, 1951 <br />The Boerd of County Commissioners met in en adfourned meeting on Friday, <br />November 23, 19$1, et 11 o'clock A. ht. in the Commissl oners' Room at the <br />Courthouse in Hillsboro, ftorth Carolina. <br />Members ?resent: R. 0. Forrest and Sim L, Efland, Commis sloners. _.i <br />Members Absent: Collier Cobb, Jr., Chairman of Boerd of Commissioners. ~~ <br />In the absence of Chairman Cobb, Commissioner Efland acted as Chairman <br />and called the meetinv to order. <br />The registrars for the Chanel Hill Special School DSstrict presented the <br />returns from the election held on November 20, 19$1. <br />The returns ware canvassed by the Board end the vote for the two nre- <br />clnets was found to be as follows: <br />Precinct Number For Clamber Against <br />Chapel Hill South Side 426 29 <br />Chenol H111 ldorth Side 27~ 62 <br />Total votes bqq ql <br />Ilnon motion of Commissioner Forrest, duly seconded and passed, Ira A. <br />7lard, Covnty Accossntant is hereby authorized and directed to have the Court- <br />room end other offices in the Courthouse painted; also to have the benches <br />in the Courtroon repaired, and new floor covering laid. <br />There being no further business, upon motion, edfourned, to meet at 4:30 <br />o'clock P.
