I have <br />particular expertise pertaining to backyard chickens and animals in urban agricultures. I have <br />published and taught courses in the area of humans relationships with domestic, wild, and feral <br />animals. <br />Reasons for wanting to serve on this board: <br />I have been fascinated by human - animal relationships for most of my life. I recently moved to <br />Chapel Hill /Carrboro for family reasons. Previously I was a professor of anthropology at a small <br />college in Michigan. I live in a neighborhood with particularly fast - changing and interesting <br />issues pertaining to people, pets, and wildlife (e.g., coyotes).
