1 The OCPC is charged with sharing information, identifying gaps and need, prioritizing evidence - <br />2 based and promising strategies, and making policy and program recommendations that <br />3 encourage the accomplishment of shared goals identified by the Council. <br />4 The OCPC will serve to bridge sometimes disparate committees, commissions, boards, <br />5 departments and communities whose work can be better coordinated to achieve a greater <br />6 collective impact by identifying and acting on a set of specific, shared goals. <br />7 Membership <br />8 The OCPC will include 15 -20 members that represent perspectives from a cross - section of the <br />9 community, local government agencies, and non - profits. She said there has been a lot of <br />45 interest from organizations wanting to be part of this project. <br />46 Commissioner Price asked where the Harlem project got its funding, and where Orange <br />47 County would get its funding. <br />48 Colleen Bridger said the Harlem project founder raised funds from private businesses, <br />49 and he built his own schools. She said there are already high quality schools in Orange County <br />50 that are interested in working with staff on this, and the education spending per student is not <br />
