The Plan won a 1989 <br /> NACo Award and has served successfully as the blue print for economic development activities <br /> over the past 6 years. Most of the specific program goals included in the Plan have been <br /> implemented or accomplished and the Plan could be strengthened by an update. At the December <br /> Board of County Commissioners'Retreat, the Commissioners discussed the idea of undertaking <br /> an update. To begin this process, a charge has been prepared which would establish the group <br /> and their work objectives(attached). <br /> RECOMMENDATION: <br /> The Administration recommends approval of the proposed charge and membership of the work <br /> group. <br />
