' 5 <br /> 2. Indirect <br /> a. To increase consumer satisfaction with parent education and support services. <br /> b. To increase collective resources and networking among providers of similar <br /> services,thereby reducing isolation. <br /> B. SERVICE OUTCOMES: <br /> All Service Outcomes are by nature indirect as there is no effective way to measure the <br /> degree to which the program has contributed to the achievement of these outcomes. <br /> a. 30% of participating families will effectively access community services by the <br /> end of the first year. <br /> b. 100% of participating families will demonstrate an increase in knowledge of <br /> child development as measured by pre and post tests by the end of the first year. <br /> c. By the end of the first year: Not more than 10% of <br /> participating families will experience involuntary substitute care. <br /> d. 20% of participating families with children in foster care will have their children <br /> successfully return home within 12 months. <br /> e. Participating families will report: <br /> -improved use of positive discipline strategies <br /> -improved family communications <br /> -an established system of family routines and rituals <br /> -increased self-awareness <br /> -improved ability to have fun as a family <br /> -increase in empathic behavior <br /> -increase in parental satisfaction regarding own parenting <br /> -decrease in parental stress factors <br /> £ 50%of families served will demonstrate the ability to develop a parental support <br /> system. <br /> g. Less than 10% of participating families will have substantiated CPS reports. <br /> h. 50% of participating families will demonstrate appropriate use of prenatal, well <br /> child, and sick child services. <br /> I. 10% of participating families displaying a pattern of substance abuse will access <br /> drug treatment programs. <br />
