Box 8181 <br />Hillsborough, NC 27278 <br />Dear Ms. Baker: <br />SHCPETARY <br />This is to advise that in accordance with Article 1 of Chapter 136 of the North Carolina <br />General Statutes, the Department of Transportation shall inform all municipalities and/or <br />counties affected by a planned transportation project. It is also requested that each affected <br />municipality or county submit, within 45 days, a written resolution expressing their views on <br />the project. <br />In accordance with this statute, this is to notify you that the Department of Transportation <br />proposes to construct the following project within Orange County: <br />Improve sight distance on SR 1710 (Old NC 10) at SR 1713 (Mt, Herman Church <br />Raad) by lowering the crest vertical on the westbound approach to the intersection. <br />This project will enhance safety and provide more efficient traffic flaw in this area. <br />I would appreciate your placing this on the agenda fox the Boaxd of County Coxluxlissioners to <br />review, and if approved, submitting a resolution back to t11is office. <br />If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact this office. <br />Sincerely, <br />~~ <br />J.
