3 <br /> NORTH CAROLINA <br /> RESOLUTION REGARDING <br /> ORANGE COUNTY LEGISLATIVE MATTERS <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of Orange County <br /> that the Board hereby requests the Senators and Representatives <br /> representing Orange County to introduce and support the following <br /> legislative matter: <br /> 1. AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE ORANGE COUNTY HUMAN RELATIONS <br /> COMMISSION TO ACT AS A FEDERALLY DESIGNATED DEFERRAL AGENCY AND <br /> AUTHORIZING THE NORTH CAROLINA OFFICE OF ADMINISTRATIVE HEARINGS <br /> AND THE NORTH CAROLINA HUMAN RELATIONS COMMISSION TO ACT AS <br /> DEFERRAL AGENCIES FOR CASES FILED PURSUANT TO THE ORANGE COUNTY <br /> CIVIL RIGHTS ORDINANCE WHERE ORANGE COUNTY IS THE NAMED RESPONDENT <br /> (Exhibit A to this Resolution) . <br /> Upon motion of Commissioner Don Willhoit , seconded by <br /> Commissioner Stephen H.
