` 6 <br /> Crisis Intervention Team <br /> Grant Project Ordinance <br /> Project Number 11-713 <br /> Be it ordained by the Orange County Board of County Commissioners that pursuant to Section 13.2 of Chapter 159 <br /> of the General Statutes of North Carolina,the following grant project is hereby adopted. <br /> Section 1. The project authorized is the Crisis Intervention Program as awarded to the Orange County <br /> Sheriffs Department by the North Carolina Department of Crime Control and Public Safety. <br /> The primary purpose of this program is to establish a crisis intervention team which will <br /> provide counseling for youth who have the potential to become involved with the legal system; <br /> provide training for law enforcement officers regarding human service issues;and,educate <br /> school and community groups. <br /> Section 2. The officers of the County are hereby directed to proceed with the grant project within <br /> the grant document,the rules and regulations of the North Carolina Department of Crime <br /> Control and Public Safety grant and the budget contained herein. <br /> Section 3. The following revenue is anticipated to be available to complete this project: <br /> Intergovernmental-Crisis Intervention $38,841 <br /> General Fund Operating Match(County Costs) $20.915 <br /> Total Revenue $59,756 <br /> Section 4. The following amount is appropriated for this project: <br /> Public Safety-Crisis Intervention Grant Funds $38,841 <br /> Public Safety-General Fund 2S 0,915 <br /> Total Appropriations $59,756 <br /> Section 5. Sixty-five percent of this program is funded by grant funds. The required 35%match for this <br /> grant is included in the 1994-95 Sheriffs Department General Fund operating budget. <br /> Section 6. The finance officer is hereby directed to maintain within the Grant Project sufficient <br /> specific detailed accounting records to provide the accounting to the grantor agency <br /> required by the grant agreement and federal and state regulations. <br /> Section 7. Funds may be advanced from the General Fund for the purpose of making payments due. <br /> Reimbursement requests should be made to the grantor agency in an orderly and timely <br /> manner. <br /> Section 8. Copies of this grant project ordinance shall be made available to the finance officer for <br /> direction in carrying out this project. <br /> Section 9. Positions authorized through this grant project ordinance include: <br /> 1.50 Full-Time Equivalent Social Worker positions <br /> These positions are authorized through June 30, 1996. Subsequent funding in future years is <br /> contingent upon the availability of grant funds. <br /> Section 10. This project period begins July 1, 1994 and is in effect until June 30, 1996.
