-T4M 12, <br /> CHARGE TO THE <br /> COOPERATIVE PLANNING WORK GROUP <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> In October, 1994, the Board of County Commissioners adopted goals and objectives for FY 1994-95. One goal <br /> adopted by the Board is directly related to continuing efforts by Hillsborough and Orange County to <br /> cooperatively plan for growth in the central portion of the county. <br /> In November, 1994, the Board of Commissioners and the Hillsborough Town Board met jointly to discuss the <br /> status of the Cooperative Planning Agreement and the recommendations of the I-40/Old N.C.86 Work Group. <br /> The two governing boards agreed in principle to review the Cooperative Planning Agreement between Orange <br /> County and the'Town of Hillsborough, including the preparation of amendments to the Agreement. <br /> CHARGE: <br /> To review the attached Cooperative Planning Agreement between Orange County and the Town of <br /> Hillsborough, including the preparation of amendments to the Agreement as may be recommended by the <br /> Planning Group. Proposed amendments may address, but not be limited to, such issues as annexation, open <br /> space definition, and water/sewer service boundaries. <br /> MEMBERSHIP: <br /> The Cooperative Planning Work Group will be comprised of the following members: <br /> • Board of Commissioners Stephen Halkiotis <br /> Don Willhoit <br /> • Hillsborough Town Board Euelyn Lloyd <br /> Catherine Martin <br /> STAFFING: <br /> The Work Group will be supported by the following staff: <br /> • Orange County Staff County Manager John Link <br /> County Attorney Geoffrey Gledhill <br /> Planning Director Marvin Collins <br /> • Hillsborough Town Staff Town Manager Eric Swanson <br /> Town Attorney Michael Brough <br /> Planning Director Margaret Hauth <br /> TIME SCHEDULE: <br /> The Work Group shall establish a meeting schedule that will allow it to complete its work and make <br /> preliminary recommendations to the governing boards of Orange County and the Town of Hillsborough no later <br /> than June, 1995. <br />
