Auction to <br /> be held Saturday, April 8, 1995 at the Public works <br /> Department located on Highway 86, Hillsborough. In the past <br /> the Auction has been held in the latter part of May. <br /> However, due to imminent construction of the new Public works <br /> facility the date has been moved up to create space. <br /> Quotations were solicited from local auctioneers with <br /> Crawford's Auction Service submitting the lowest responsible <br /> fee (2%) . A tabulation of the results is enclosed. <br /> BACKGROUND: General Statute 160A-270(b) requires this procedure to <br /> dispose of surplus personal property. <br /> Funds generated from the sale of surplus personal property <br /> goes to Orange County. Funds for the sale of abandoned and <br /> confiscated property is to be evenly divided between the two <br /> school systems after deducting for expenses, as provided in <br /> the North Carolina Statutes. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: The Manager recommends the Board accept the resolution. <br />
