A motion was made by Commissioner Pelissier seconded by Commissioner Price for <br /> the Board to: <br /> 1) Award a bid to Riggs-Harrod Builders, Inc. of Durham, North Carolina not to exceed the <br /> amount of$429,550 for the construction of the Orange County SportsPlex Lobby <br /> Renovation; <br /> 2) Authorize the Chair to sign the necessary paperwork upon final approval of the County <br /> Attorney; and <br /> 3) Authorize the County Manager to execute change orders for the project up to the project <br /> budget. <br /> Commissioner Rich said residents in Chapel Hill are asking when this facility can be <br /> duplicated in the southern part of the county. <br /> Commissioner porosin said the Sportsplex is in the center of the County, and it is <br /> equidistance from all points. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> c.
