NORTH CAROLINA CONSERVATION AGREEMENT <br />FOR <br />ORANGE COUNTY VOLUNTARY TAI AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT PROGRAM <br />Orange County and the undersigned real property owner Joe A. and Geraldine <br />Thompson, hereinafter "Owner ", enter into this Conservation Agreement for an <br />Enhanced Voluntary Agricultural District covering the property identified by the parcel <br />identification numbers of the property: PIN 9838477077 and I'll. 9838575056 shogun on <br />the attached maps labeled Exhibit A and Exhibit B. <br />The parties understand and agree that this Agreement is being entered into to <br />protect farmland, horticultural land and/or forestland in Orange County as contemplated. <br />by North Carolina General Statutes Article 61 Chapter 106, and the Orange County <br />Code of Ordinances Chapter 48, the "Voluntary F rmland Protection Ordinance, <br />adopted on April 1, 1992 and last amended on June 4, 2013 (hereinafter the <br />"Ordinance"), and to permit such property to qualify for the benefits granted by these <br />laws and ordinances. <br />Owner acknowledges ledges thart Owner has the read the lags and the Ordinance. <br />Owner further acknowledges and agrees to prohibit non-farm use of Owner's property <br />subject to this Agreement except as permitted by the above mentioned lavers and the <br />Ordinance during the terra of this agreement. <br />This Agreement is irrevocable for a period of ten years from the date of its <br />execution. At the end of the terra, the agreement will renew automatically for a terra of <br />three 3 years unless either the Owner or Orange County gives written notice to the <br />contrary prior to the termination date of the Agreement. At the end of each three- year <br />term, the Agreement shall rene w automatically for an additional three-year term unless <br />notice of termination is given. Orange County may revoke this Agreement if the Owner <br />is noncompliant with this Agreement or the applicable lags and ordinances. <br />[The rest of this page was left blank intentionally.
