Box 8181 <br />Hillsborough, NC 27278 <br />Dear Chair Jacobs: <br />Subject: Board Appointment <br />At the June 1 lt'' meeting of the Advisory Board on Aging the members considered all <br />current applications for membership to the Board and unanimously approved <br />recommending Ms. Miriam Settle for appointment to Position #3 as a Town of Chapel <br />Resident. <br />Ms. Settle's work experience includes the University of NC-Deputy Director Emeritus, <br />Center for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention and Adjunct Assistant Professor, <br />SPH. She has volunteer experience with Unitarian Church Social Concerns Committee, <br />NAACP, N.C. Symphony Audience Advisory Committee, Safe Kids Campaign <br />Technical Advisory Board, and Chapel Hill-Carrboro Redistricting Taslc Force. <br />Ms. Settle attended a meeting of the Advisory Board to learn the functions of the board <br />and assure her interest in serving as a member.
