Gordon, Earl McKee, Bernadette Pelissier, Renee Price, and Penny Rich <br /> 14 COUNTY COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: <br /> 15 COUNTY ATTORNEYS PRESENT: <br /> 16 COUNTY STAFF PRESENT: Interim County Manager Michael Talbert and Assistant County <br /> 17 Managers Clarence Grier, Cheryl Young and Clerk to the Board Donna Baker (All other staff <br /> 18 members will be identified appropriately below) <br /> 19 <br /> 20 NOTE: ALL DOCUMENTS REFERRED TO IN THESE MINUTES ARE IN THE PERMANENT <br /> 21 AGENDA FILE IN THE CLERK'S OFFICE. <br /> 22 <br /> 23 1. Opening Remarks <br /> 24 Chair Jacobs called the meeting to order at 7:02 p.m. <br /> 25 <br /> 26 A motion was made by Commissioner McKee, seconded by Commissioner Price to add <br /> 27 Approving the County Manager's Employment Contract item to the agenda. <br /> 28 <br /> 29 VOTE: UNANIMOUS (6-0) (Commissioner Dorosin had not arrived yet) <br /> 30 <br /> 31 a. Approving the County Manager's Employment Contract <br /> 32 The Board considered approving the County Manager's Employment Contract <br /> 33 <br /> 34 A motion was made by Commissioner Gordon, seconded by Commissioner Price to <br /> 35 approve the County Manager's Employment Contract. <br /> 36 <br /> 37 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 38 <br /> 39 Commissioner Dorosin arrived. <br /> 40 Chair Jacobs welcomed Bonnie Hammersley. <br /> 41 Bonnie Hammersley said it is her pleasure and honor to begin her service as County <br /> 42 Manager. She looks forward to working with the Board and staff in the coming months and <br /> 43 years on the issues and challenges before them. She hopes to work with government partners <br /> 44 to find cost effective solutions to concerns, while exploring opportunities to strengthen the <br /> 45 County's economic and financial base. <br /> 46 Chair Jacobs said he and the Board appreciate the opportunity to work with Bonnie <br /> 47 Hammersley. <br /> 48 Commissioner Gordon welcomed Bonnie Hammersley and praised her many years of <br /> 49 experience. <br /> 50 Commissioner McKee added his welcome and said Bonnie Hammersley's experience in <br /> 51 other parts of the country will come in handy in Orange County. <br />
