She said these are the scores that will be the underpinning of the prioritization of <br /> 2 the state transportation projects. <br /> 3 Commissioner Gordon said the public hearing on the SUP for the Southern Human <br /> 4 Services Center Campus with the Town of Chapel Hill was an interesting experience. She feels <br /> 5 it was well received and she hopes the town will act favorably on June 23. <br /> 6 Chair Jacobs said the Burlington Graham MPO is another planning organization that <br /> 7 involves Orange County, and he just attended their meeting and received a sheet on the <br /> 8 prioritization 3.0. He said there was a DOT luncheon meeting yesterday and Sheryl McQuery <br /> 9 was there. He said there was discussion about how the 1-40 project might be funded if it was <br /> 10 done in phases or segments as opposed to one big $70 million project. He said there will be a <br /> 11 report from staff to get the Board up to speed on all of the projects. <br /> 12 He said there was a meeting last week with another waste disposal group called <br /> 13 Greenwave. He said this was an entity that is trying to get started doing plasma torch <br /> 14 destruction of solid waste. He said staff was going to pursue whether this idea was feasible <br /> 15 and cost effective. He said this is just part of trying to get ideas on the table. <br /> 16 Chair Jacobs said there was a meeting last night at Cedar Grove to discuss the bus plan <br /> 17 expansion for central and northern Orange County. He said there are 4 of these meetings <br /> 18 listed on the website. He said there were two dozen people there. <br /> 19 He congratulated all of the people who won election in the democratic primary. He <br /> 20 expressed gratitude for the support of staff and the public and said it is a privilege to serve the <br /> 21 citizens of Orange County. <br /> 22 <br /> 23 13.
