Board Comments <br /> 33 Commissioner Pelissier said the Jail Alternatives Report probably will not be available to <br /> 34 the board before the break. She said the report is still incomplete and needs more comment <br /> 35 and discussion. She noted that this does not affect the planning for the new jail. <br /> 36 Commissioner Price said she attended the Ladies of Excellence program at Stanford, <br /> 37 which was spearheaded by the 4-H club. She wanted to highlight that there are some great <br /> 38 young people in the County. <br /> 39 Commissioner McKee said the gross income requirement for farm use valuation is <br /> 40 proposed to be increased from $1,000 to $10,000. He said this is scheduled to be voted on <br /> 41 tomorrow, and it is unlikely that there are enough votes to defeat it. He said this will have an <br /> 42 impact on a lot of the smaller farmers in North Carolina, especially those who are trying to get <br /> 43 started. <br /> 44 Commissioner Dorosin — none <br /> 45 Commissioner Rich thanked the staff for arranging for the groundbreaking for the <br /> 46 Rogers Road Community Center. She said there was also a groundbreaking for the new Inter <br /> 47 Faith Council (IFC) community home. She said it is nice to see them moving forward with some <br /> 48 of these community homes. <br /> 49 Commissioner Gordon said, in connection with the Durham Chapel Hill Carrboro <br /> 50 Metropolitan Planning Organization (DCHC MPO), the state has now released the prioritization <br />
