Approval of Fiscal Year 2014-15 Budget Ordinance, County Grant Projects, and <br /> 4 County Fee Schedule (7:40-7:55) <br /> 5 The Board considered approving the Fiscal Year 2014-15 Budget Ordinance, County <br /> 6 Grant Projects, and County Fee Schedule. <br /> 7 Clarence Grier reviewed the attachments and presented the following budget resolution: <br /> 8 <br /> 9 Resolution of Intent to Adopt the 2014-15 <br /> 10 Orange County Budget <br /> 11 <br /> 12 The items outlined below summarize decisions that the Board acted upon June 12, 2014 in <br /> 13 approving the FY2014-15 Orange County Annual Operating Budget. <br /> 14 <br /> 15 WHEREAS, the Orange County Board of Commissioners has considered the Orange County <br /> 16 2014-15 Manager's Recommended Budget; and <br /> 17 <br /> 18 WHEREAS, the Commissioners have agreed on certain modifications to the Manager's <br /> 19 Recommended Budget as presented in the 2014-15 County Manager's Recommended Budget <br /> 20 on May 20, 2014; <br /> 21 <br /> 22 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Orange County Board of Commissioners <br /> 23 expresses its intent to adopt the 2014-15 Orange County Budget Ordinance on Tuesday, June <br /> 24 17, 2014, based on the following stipulations: <br /> 25 <br /> 26 1) Property Tax Rates <br /> 27 <br /> 28 a) The ad valorem property tax rate shall be set at 87.8 cents per $100 of assessed <br /> 29 valuation. <br /> 30 <br /> 31 b) The Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools District Tax shall be set at 20.84 cents per <br /> 32 $100 of assessed valuation. <br /> 33 <br /> 34 c) The Fire District and Fire Service District tax rates shall be set at the following rates <br /> 35 (all rates are based on cents per $100 of assessed valuation): <br /> 36 <br /> 37 <br /> • Cedar Grove 7.36 <br /> • Greater Chapel Hill Fire Service District 15.00 <br /> • Damascus 8.80 <br /> • Efland 7.00 <br /> • Eno 7.99 <br /> • Little River 4.06 <br /> • New Hope 9.95 <br /> • Orange Grove 6.00 <br /> • Orange Rural 7.36 <br />
